When you download Mendeley Desktop you will be prompted to install the Citation plugin for Microsoft Word. This will enable you to quickly insert citations and generate a bibliography in alphabetical order and in the correct style in any Word document. If you have a personal Office account, you should be able to download the plug-in on this.

The XML file containing your selected references will begin to download, and this file can then be opened using Microsoft Word.
